Cureus announces completion of Lavendio senior residence in Melle with 126 care places
- 126 care places created according to the latest standard
- Restaurant, laundry, hair salon and chiropody in the building
- Completion on schedule in sustainable KfW 40 construction method
- All Cureus properties are designed to meet the needs of residents
- Operator is Lavendio Seniorenresidenzen – places still available
- Around 100 new and secure jobs will be created, taking applications for employees
Hamburg/Winsen (Aller)/Melle, 1 December 2022. Cureus, an integrated property company that specialises in developing and actively managing its own care home portfolio, has completed the new Lavendio Seniorenresidenz Melle at Kosakenallee 11 in 49324 Melle (Lower Saxony) and handed it over to its operator, Lavendio. The general contractor was MBN GmbH.
Carsten Völkerding, Branch Manager of MBN, is delighted: “Once again, in close collaboration with Cureus, we have completed and handed over a modern system care home, developed on schedule and in accordance with the unique Cureus approach. Places still available – new team members still wanted
The last few care places are still available for permanent, short-term, holiday and respite care, as well as for residents with dementia and for palliative care. Furthermore, the completion of the Lavendio senior residence in Melle will create about 100 new and secure jobs and there are still a small number of vacancies to be filled in nursing and housekeeping.

Modern senior residence with restaurant, laundry, hair and chiropody salon, and spacious gardens in prime location
The barrier-free building with three full floors and a recessed top floor has been designed and built to the sustainable KfW-40 energy-efficiency standard and has now been handed over. The flat roof is largely greened and heating is supplied by an environmentally-friendly combined heat and power plant (CHP), which also generates electricity for the residence. The modern, rectilinear facade is an architectural eye-catcher and, with its attractive colour scheme, the property blends harmoniously with its surroundings. Each of the 126 modern single rooms is equipped with its own bathroom and a selection of rooms are equipped as comfort rooms with higher-quality furnishings. Residents can furnish their rooms with their own furniture and accessories if they wish. In addition, 38 of the rooms are fully wheelchair accessible. The residence features a range of amenities, including a restaurant with fresh cuisine, an in-house laundry, a hair and chiropody salon, a fireside lounge with a library, and therapy rooms. The spacious outdoor facilities are also available to all residents for exercise, relaxation and socialising. The new senior residence is set on the banks of the River Laerbach, only a few minutes’ walk from the centre of Melle, which is home to the town hall, shops, doctors’ practices, and social services.
