Modern living and health centre with social living group concept

The U-shaped building of the "Haus Cara Vida" life and health centre was constructed in a three-storey design on the approx. 7,000 square metre site south of Stöckener Strasse. A total of around 6,000 square metres of barrier-free gross floor area was created in accordance with the KfW's energy-saving Efficiency House 40 standard. The straightforward and modern façade was clinkered on the ground floor and plastered on the upper floors, blending in perfectly with the surrounding buildings thanks to its light colour scheme.

The "Haus Cara Vida" has a total of 92 modern and generously proportioned single rooms, 56 of which are not only barrier-free but also wheelchair-accessible. On the ground floor, behind the friendly and hotel-like entrance area with reception and foyer, there is a lounge and a spacious restaurant with a fresh kitchen and sun terrace. In keeping with the open house concept, this will also be available to the neighbouring residents and guests of the residence, thus enabling residents to socialise with each other and their living environment. The property also has an in-house laundry for residents' laundry, a library, therapy rooms, a hairdresser and a chiropodist.

All rooms in "Haus Cara Vida" are single rooms, each with its own bathroom and telephone, internet and television connection. It is possible to furnish the rooms yourself to create privacy and a place of retreat. The "Haus Cara Vida" is divided into four residential groups. The residential group concept is designed to ensure a homely, family-like atmosphere. To this end, each residential group has an attractively designed communal room as the centre of the residential group with a kitchen and dining area as well as a terrace, roof terrace or balcony, which will strengthen social contacts between the residents. There will also be Premium Light rooms, i.e. special comfort rooms with particularly high-quality furnishings.

Day care and assisted living round off the range of services for Rethem

In addition to inpatient and short-term care, "Haus Cara Vida" also offers 18 places in a modern day care centre on the ground floor. In addition to a communal room with kitchen, visitors also have access to relaxation rooms, a therapy room and a care bathroom.

Five generously proportioned assisted living flats measuring between 48 and 62 square metres have also been created on the ground floor. They each have two rooms for sleeping or living and cooking, a bathroom, a hallway, a storage room and a private terrace. Depending on the size, the rent for the flats is between 925 and 1,325 euros per month plus ancillary costs (approx. 180 to 240 euros BK fee). Services such as lunch or other service packages can be booked separately. A dedicated contact person takes care of all the "trimmings" so that older people can reside comfortably.

Ideal location and optimal accessibility

The "Haus Cara Vida" life and health centre is located in the south of Rethem. In addition to direct access to the green countryside and the River Aller, a supermarket, doctors and social facilities are just a few minutes' walk away. The centre of Rethem, with its café, church and several bus stops, is also within easy reach and connects Rethem perfectly with the towns and communities in the surrounding area. Ten bicycle parking spaces and 20 car parking spaces will be created on the grounds of the life and health centre. This will ensure excellent accessibility for visitors, residents and care staff. The park-like outdoor facilities will also be available to all residents to promote exercise, health, relaxation and socialising.

Cureus proprietary standard guarantees best-in-class construction

“Haus Vida Victoria” has been designed and built in accordance with the Cureus standard for system care homes. This places great importance on uniform, high quality standards and is oriented, among other things, towards the requirements of the operators, focusing on the residents and care staff. In this way, the structural processes and all properties are optimised from the inside to the outside: This concerns, for example, the size and arrangement of rooms to optimize space and walkways. Cureus care homes are also designed and equipped for maximum utility: interior corridors benefit from as much daylight as possible, every room has floor-to-ceiling windows that provide attractive views of the surrounding area, and the modern bathrooms and window fronts always follow the same standardised system approach. Each complex’s architecture and facade incorporate individual touches and are constructed to the highest quality standards, integrating seamlessly into their surroundings. The Cureus system approach also prioritises sustainability, both in terms of a care home’s long-term economic viability and its impact on the environment. All Cureus care homes are, for example, constructed in accordance with the ‘Effizienhaus-40-Standard’, while the bulk procurement of floor coverings or elevator systems, for example, ensures cost synergies and long-term maintenance contracts covering several properties also reduce costs for care home operators. The constant review and optimisation of the Cureus system care home standard guarantees the construction of care homes that truly meet demand.
