Hamburg/Winsen (Aller)/Alfter, 7 March 2022. Cureus, an integrated property company specialising in care homes, which builds new properties for its own portfolio, and Libento as the future operator of the Alfter senior residence invited a small circle of guests to the laying of the foundation stone last week, including Dr. Rolf Schumacher, Mayor of Alfter. Apart from the actual ceremonial act with the formal sinking of the time capsule, the participants were also presented with in-depth information on the newly emerging senior residence. The culinary well-being was being looked after perfectly well.

Dr. Rolf Schumacher, mayor of the municipality of Alfter: "We as a municipality are pleased that the construction process of the new senior residence of Cureus and Libento is visibly progressing. The rapid development of the ‘Integratives Wohnen Bahnhofstraße’ area in Alfter-Ort is important in order to have new residential space available promptly, especially for senior citizens.“

“For this project with almost 100 care places, we are expecting a construction time of just about 17 months and are therefore expecting completion still in summer 2023” so Sebastian Warz, Project Manager of Cureus. “We have laid the foundation stone for this today and buried a time capsule into the base plate, containing the traditional contents of the present day. Apart from the floor plans, this also includes, for instance, a daily newspaper, a few coins, photographs, as well as a facemask.”

“We would like to thank all guests for their visit and the good wishes”, says Anja Marquardt, Managing Director of Libento Seniorenresidenzen. “While our new residence for seniors is being built bit by bit, we are starting with the recruitment of staff and are also taking reservations for the care places. In the focus of our considerations is a well-functioning community of residents and staff who will be characterised by sociability and family structures, as well as by regionally networked structures."
