Hamburg/Winsen (Aller)/Solingen, 17. November 2022. Cureus, an integrated property company that specialises in developing and actively managing its own inpatient care home portfolio, and Libento as the future operator of the Solingen senior residence today invited to the topping-out ceremony. The approximately 60 guests featured planners, craftsmen, neighbours and representatives from politics, administration and the community, including Hansjörg Schweikhart, Mayor of the Solingen-Mitte district. The traditional ceremony featured a topping-out wreath, speeches, and the hammering in of the final nail into the roof structure. The visitors enjoyed food and drink after the ceremony and were keen to find out more about the new senior residence, the housing community and day care Lochbachtal on a walk around the construction site and through the shell of the building. The construction site is located in the Beethovenstraße 183 c, d, e in 42655 Solingen-Dültgenstal and the general contractor is Cureus itself.

"Our project is progressing well," says Lilli Braunagel, the responsible project manager at Cureus: "With the completion of the roof and the installation of the windows before winter, we can now also start the interior work regardless of the weather. In the context of this topping-out ceremony, we would like to express our traditional thanks to all those involved in the construction for their work so far. I am optimistic that we will be able to hand over to our proven, professional operating partner Libento for the first construction phase as planned in summer and for the second phase in autumn 2023."

"We, too, would like to thank the teams involved in the construction and are already very much looking forward to this new location, the future appearance of which can already be seen in the current state of construction," says Andrea Willigerod, Managing Director of Libento Seniorenresidenzen: "The focus for us is, of course, also on the location here in Solingen with the various concepts of senior residence, housing community and day care, a functioning community of residents and employees, which will be characterised by sociability and familiar as well as regionally networked structures. Staff recruitment is already in full swing and the first residents have already expressed their interest."

The first Libento Seniorenresidenzen facility was opened in Wuppertal in autumn 2021. The opening of the senior residence in Heimerzheim will follow in spring 2023. The senior residence in Alfter is scheduled to open in early summer. With the Solingen location, Libento will open its fourth location in late summer.

About Libento senior residence Solingen, housing community and day care Lochbachtal

On the plot with an area of around 9,000 square metres, two u-shaped buildings are being developed, meeting the increasing demand of care places in Solingen by providing contemporary types of housing. The Northern part of the property is earmarked for a housing community with 70 living units and outpatient day-care with 18 places. For the Southern part, another building is being planned to contain a modern senior residence for inpatient and short-term care with 80 care places. All objects are constructed in accordance with the energetically optimised Effizienzhaus 40 standard of KfW, whereby the environmentally sound heating is provided by a combined heat and power plant (CHP), which simultaneously generates electricity for the senior residence. The facade with the linear and modern design will be an eye-catching architectural feature and will blend harmoniously into the surrounding buildings with their colour scheme.

All other details on the project can be found in the press release dated 30 September 2021.
