Cureus and WH Care celebrate topping-out ceremony for the Mea Fortuna life and health centre in Drochtersen

- Completion to Efficiency House 40 standard scheduled for the beginning of 2023

Hamburg/Garbsen/Drochtersen, 1 July 2022. Cureus, an integrated property company that specialises in creating its own care home portfolio, and WH Care, a nationwide specialist in the operation of a large number of life and health centres, as the future operator of the Mea Fortuna life and health centre, invited guests to the topping-out ceremony today. Among the approx. 40 guests was Mike Eckhoff, Mayor of the Lower Saxon municipality north-west of Hamburg. In addition to the actual ceremony with a proper topping-out ceremony, the participants were also presented with in-depth information on the newly built senior residence and were able to take a tour of the construction site and the shell of the building. Visitors enjoyed food and drink after the ceremony. The construction site is located in the Kehdinger Heimat building area, Triftweg/Grefenstraße, in 21706 Drochtersen, and the general contractor is H. Hesemann from Stadland.
“Our project is now progressing well”, says a pleased Henning Koch, project manager at Cureus: “While we still had a small challenge at the beginning with the difficult construction site, we are now pleased to celebrate the topping-out ceremony and express our thanks to everyone involved in the construction for their excellent work. With the completion of the roof, we can now focus on the interior work and also turn our attention to the facade work. I am optimistic that we will be able to handover the residence to our proven, professional operating partner WH Care at the beginning of 2023 as planned”.

Modern living and health centre with social living group concept
A total of 96 care places will be built on around 5,000 square metres of barrier-free gross floor area according to the Efficiency House 40 standard. The modern, rectilinear facade with its light colour scheme will blend in perfectly with the surrounding buildings. In addition to the hotel-like foyer with reception, the Mea Fortuna building also features a fireside lounge with library, a restaurant with a freshly prepared menu and terrace, which will also be available to the surrounding residents and guests of the residence, and a laundry. Each of the modern single rooms is equipped with its own bathroom. Residents will be able to furnish their own rooms to create a private, homely atmosphere and add to the cosy comforts.
The Mea Fortuna life and health centre is located in a newly developed development area in the south of Drochtersen. In addition to direct access to the green surrounding countryside, shopping facilities, doctors and social facilities, such as the indoor swimming pool, and sports facilities are only a few minutes’ walk away.
