Cureus completes 96 care places for WH Care in the life and health center "Mea Fortuna" in Drochtersen
- 96 barrier-free single rooms for inpatient and short-term care have been created
- Restaurant with fresh kitchen, fireplace room with library, laundry in the building
- Generous multigenerational playground connects operator with neighborhood
- Completion according to KfW-40 standard
- Cureus properties focus on the needs of the residents and also the operator's employees

Hamburg/Garbsen/Drochtersen, 5 September 2023. Cureus, an integrated property company that specialises in developing and actively managing its own care home portfolio, completed and handed over the new life and health center "Mea Fortuna" with 96 barrier-free single rooms for inpatient care for WH Care as operator. The new building is located at Triftweg 55 in 21706 Drochtersen. H. Hesemann aus Stadland acted as general contractor.
"We are very pleased to now be able to provide important and urgently needed care capacities for the residents in the district of Stade at the Drochtersen site according to the most modern standards and in appealing architecture," says Henning Koch, responsible project manager at Cureus. "A special feature of this project is the spacious multigenerational playground, which will connect the neighborhood as well as the community. We are certain that we have also been able to gain an experienced and renowned operator in WH Care, which stands for individual care and nursing. Interested employees can also continue to apply under. A total of 60 to 100 new and crisis-proof jobs will be created on a full- and part-time basis in the areas of nursing, administration, housekeeping and building services.
Modern living and health centre with social living group concept
A total of 96 care places have been created on around 5,000 square meters of barrier-free gross floor area in accordance with the energy-conscious KfW 40 standard. The straight-lined and modern facade with its light color scheme blends in perfectly with the surrounding buildings. In addition to the hotel-like foyer with reception, the "Mea Fortuna" house also houses a fireside lounge with library, an in-house laundry and a restaurant with fresh cuisine and terrace, which can also be used by the surrounding residents and guests of the residence to promote the social integration of the residents into the neighborhood. Each of the modern single rooms is equipped with its own bathroom as well as Internet and telephone connections. High-quality furnishing of the rooms by the residents themselves is possible in order to maintain privacy and as a place of retreat.
The location of the "Mea Fortuna" life and health center is in the freshly developed Kehdinger Heimat construction area in the south of Drochtersen. Drochtersen is located north of Stade. In addition to direct access to the green surrounding countryside, shopping facilities, doctors and social facilities, such as the indoor swimming pool, and sports facilities are only a few minutes' walk away. Drochtersen's city center is within walking distance and the nearby bus stops optimally connect Drochtersen with the cities and towns in the surrounding area. Eight bicycle parking spaces and 15 car parking spaces will be created on the grounds of the life and health center. This will ensure excellent accessibility for visitors and nursing staff. The park-like landscaped outdoor areas are also available to residents for exercise, health, lingering and socializing. The multigenerational playground created for residents and the public on the grounds of the life and health center is also intended to connect the neighborhood and invite people to meet. In addition to playground equipment for children, there is also a barefoot path, a boules court, various outdoor fitness equipment and a picnic area along with many other seating areas.
