Hamburg/Ulm/Gladbeck, 5 August 2022. Cureus, an integrated property company that specialises in creating and actively managing its own care home portfolio, and the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group, the future operator of SCHÖNES LEBEN Gladbeck im Zentrum, invited guests to a summer fete on the new residence’s construction site yesterday. The 70 guests included Friedhelm Horbach, chair of the Seniors’ Advisory Council of the city of Gladbeck.
Given last year’s coronavirus restrictions, it had not been possible to celebrate the laying of the foundation stone or the topping-out ceremony. The recent summer fete therefore presented the first opportunity for guests to gain a comprehensive insight into the project and see for themselves just how quickly construction works are progressing. In addition to the ceremonial placement of the time capsule, the fete’s guests were also provided with in-depth information on the future senior residence and a tour of the site and the four buildings under construction. A food truck was also on hand to ensure that guests could enjoy a delicious selection of food and drink after the ceremony. The construction site is located at Wilhelmstraße 12–18 (even numbers), 45964 Gladbeck. Cureus is acting as general contractor.
“Our project is progressing quickly and according to plan”, says Alexander Riedel, project manager at Cureus. “With the completion of the building shells and the roofs, we can now focus on the interior work and also turn our attention to finishing the facade work before winter sets in. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the construction for the great work they are doing. It is primarily thanks to their efforts that we are on track for completion and handover to our accomplished partner, the SCHÖNES LEBEN Group, spring 2023”.

Letting of the exclusive assisted living apartments is already underway. There are a number of 1.5- to 3-room apartments available with floor plans ranging from 37 to 99 square metres. The apartments all have living rooms, bedrooms and storage rooms, plus private, barrier-free bathrooms. Some units are also equipped with balconies, terraces, roof terraces or their own garden areas. SCHÖNES LEBEN Gladbeck im Zentrum, with its modern, urban architecture and generous glazing, blends harmoniously into the central Gladbeck cityscape not far from the town hall.
